Citroën BX Sport, Die-Cast Model Car, 1:43

The Blanc Meije finish sets off the Citroën BX Sport's angular body kit, a distinctly 1980s shape to examine on a display shelf. Depicting the 1985 vehicle, this die-cast metal miniature invites a closer look at the styling of the sporting hatchback. Across the front, clear rectangular headlight lenses sit beside orange indicators, with fog lights lower down in the bumper. Vents punctuate the nose beneath the Citroën chevron, while the front plate carries the BX SPORT lettering. Along the sides, graphics and black trim contrast with the white body, and slats pick out the rear quarter panels. Silver wheels sit beneath the sculpted bodywork, with tinted glazing above. The rear spoiler gives the tail its sporting outline, complemented by black mirrors and an antenna on the roof. At 1:43, the replica offers collectors a compact example of the named marque for a collection of period automobiles. A front three-quarter display angle reveals the nose and side treatment together, rewarding a look beyond the familiar silhouette.
