VW T1 21 Windows, Die-Cast Model Car, 1:18

The VW T1 21 Windows puts its distinctive glazing on display, inviting a closer look at the roofline and sides. Blue and white define the 1962 subject's exterior, making colour a reason to give this miniature a place on the shelf. Its die-cast metal body provides a tangible contrast to the windows. The 1:18 scale offers a reference for collectors arranging a vehicle lineup by size. A collection centred on the VW marque gives this bus a setting among other depictions of the same automotive name. It also lends itself to a display focused on 1960s transport, where the window arrangement is a detail to return to.
